Map-based DBA campaing??

Postby MoviesfunhdFuh » Wed Apr 23, 2008 11:44 am

Hi guys i am looking for oportunity to play map-based DBA campaing. I think i can take care of such things like campaing rules, preparing map events cards and so on. BUT i am looking for players to play such an event, most likely from ZGZ and nearest places.
I woulld very much like to play First Diadochii War (about 320 BC) in such army set:

Antipatros II/18a. Lisymachos II/17, Antigonos II/16a, Eumenes II/16d, Seleukos II/19a, Ptolemaios II/20a, Ariarthid Kapadokkian II/14, Later Achemenid Persian II/17 (as persian rebnel satrapa lookin for his chance to break off macedonian rule), Kassandros II/18c, Thracian.

I think abut this period becouse it is the time of power for hellenistic world, when great empires rise and fall under hellenistic rulers. As one can say, after this time the power of Rome was inbreakable and...boring :D. I can olso opt for:
Earlier :

Peloponesian War between Sparta and Athens

Later:

Phyrric wars with Rome

First and second Punnic War
If you are interested to get involved in such campaing i can prepare, please write on this topic. I would like to do it as my firends in Poland did: get players, set enough time to let players prepare thier armies (modeling and painting) and so on. I also wish to prepare set of rules for this campaing, in spanish of coz  After time set for preparations players will meet 2-3 times for weekends to play battles according the campaing rules, consider this as kind of tournament themed by map-based rules. Tihs is the way i see it, it would be great if you join me with this idea and together will do something extraordinary.

Best Regards!!!

Just to tell you the truth, people here are too lazy to play a campaign.
In Zaragoza people only play DBA when there is an upcoming tournament, and only sometimes...

In this forum there are three main games, fantasy, 40k and warmachine. I think that from those games you only play warmachine, keep an eye on this topic:
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1202&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

On that topic people meet to play warmachine.

Good luck anyway

Also keep in mind that people here buy an army for two main reasons,
i. good miniatures.
ii. good rules (i.e. blades, knights,...)

So in the same group you will find spartans, war of the roses and early egyptian.

That's not either good news lol

In Zaragoza, people also love to play Blood Bowl.

DarthBlu is the guy that make this possible, wasting his time teaching to play newbies and so.

@Los Diablos Polacos, If you want to play Blood Bowl, next week i will have some spare time to teach you in case you don't know how to play or if you want to learn. Every year we make a league, it's a funny game

Por favor, hablad de BB en su lugar adecuado, que estáis haciendo offtopic de este mensaje, que hablaba de DBA
