
ENGLISH RUMOURS
Carnosaur, needs something extra. It's nice, but flying large targets can run it in circles. Maybe something like when charging a large target, add's an extra D6" to it's move. Needs a boost in weaponskill.
Slann, something needs to be done about the generation gap. Maybe shuffling up the generations and giving 2nd Gen something else. Either way, 5th is pointless, 3rd is pointless. Perhaps just giving 5th gen is ignores miscast, 4th generation generates an extra power dice. Some extra spells as well, perhaps instead of a 'specific lore' Slann have a variety of new spells they can purchase (5/4th gen can purchase 1, 3rd/2nd gen can purchase 2).
Skink Chiefs. Perhaps something like what they did in Red Host. Although, that was there to show more Skink dominance. BS increase to 5. 4 is just ridiculous for a hero Skink. Does not require Itzl to ride mounts (Otherwise, hurts since he can't join Horned One Riders units with spawnings).
Priests as usual. Maybe if it takes a sacred spawning it has an option of changing lore.That, or Beasts or Heavens are the lores they can take except in Sacred Hosts, where they must take the hosts lore.
Ditch Predatory fighters, makes Spears actually useful for a change. Drop Saurus a point or two.
Shove Sacred Hosts into the book. Maybe give hosts a global benefit to make them more interesting, maybe not (i.e Chotec host, opponent goes first, but all Saurus gain +1 movement for soaking up the sunlight). It's just an idea though, it'd be hard to balance.
Rebalance Sacred Spawnings so all of them are actually useful in one way or another.
Skinks Skirmishers +1 point.
Temple Guard Saurus dropping a few points, coming with shields standard. Perhaps a choice to buy light armour for a point or two (They are supposed to be the guardians of the Slann, they should have some armour). A plausible thing I think is that they are taken regularly in Special, and one per Slann can be taken as a core choice. Since they don't just guard Slanns, but Temple-cities as well.
Chameleon Skinks drop a point or two.
Kroxigors just get set to 60 points standard - no changes other than that.
Carnosaur and Stegadon save cannot be reduced beyond 6+, even if the weapon ignores all armour. They're giant dino's, they should get a proper save.
Stegadon leadership increase to 6, Giant bow as an option.
Swarms drop in points a lot.
Salamanders get the tweaking they need. Maybe something interesting to change them from 'roll artillery dice for hits'.
Saurus Cavalry either get a points downgrade, or a boost to armour at same price. They're insanely expensive for a unit that can't do much against stuff that has decent armour - and can't really earn much points back eating up the lightly armoured cheap units. Another option is to instead give them options of Sacred Spawnings moving them to rare (Only 1 of course, since they already have Itzl)
NEW UNIT: Skink Cohorts like the Red Crested Skinks. Same statline, costs 6 points per, same equipment. Kroxigors cannot charge through them. If Tehenhauin is in the army, they get the Red Crest ability like in the Lustria book. Sacred Spawnings can be taken on them, keeping them in core, but only 1 spawning.
NEW UNIT: Skink Horned One Riders like in Southlands. Tweaking to make them more plausible, and give them ranged weapon options. Needs some thinking, since toughness 2 lightly armoured cavalry is kinda flimsy. Depending on how they run, maybe keeping them in core. Sacred Spawning moves them to special.
NEW UNIT : 0-1 rare choice Engine of the Gods. Rules as in Red Host. Potentially, if they redo the Stegadon (Which is a given, Carnosaur won't be redone) - they could potentially make it as a kit to make either a Stegadon or Engine of the Gods. Plastic in that case, but could be plausible.
Character : Tehenhauin is thrown into the book. Tweak him so he's decent again.
NEW CHARACTER : Oxayotl the first chameleon skink. Hero level character. Make him a nice shooty character, Chameleon special rules. Could be awesome.
NEW CHARACTER : Nakai. Kroxigor that takes up 2 hero slots. Something akin to Ws:5, Bs-, S:5, T:5, W:3, I:2, A:4 Ld:8. Regular Kroxigor special rules. Can't join units, some special gear/rules to boot.
Personally, I would also like to see either Inxi-Huinzi (The character in 5th edition who actually rode a Horned One - not the 5th edition Cold Ones) or Tichi-Huichi in the book as well. Although, as far as I know, it's only 5 characters in a book... Just another Hero level skink.
Modelwise:
Hero plastic kit (may be difficult but a possiblity)
Temple Gaurd Plastics/Upgrade kit.
Stegadon model.
A little more out their but possible Slaan and/or Kroxigar plastics.
